The report also shows that global demand in 2019 is expected to decrease by about 0.1%, or about 13.8 million tons, compared to 2018, and it will recover 1.9% by 2020.

The global demand for synthetic rubber in 2019 is expected to decrease by 2.8% from 2018 to slightly less than 15 million tons, but it is expected to rebound by 3.4% by 2020.
