KOTTAYAM, NOV. 23:
Spot rubber finished steady on Friday. There were no fresh factors to set a definite trend in the local market, as the domestic futures were almost in a similar mood in its near months on the National Multi Commodity Exchange. The volumes were dull.
Sheet rubber closed unchanged at Rs 173 a kg at Kottayam and Kochi, according to traders and the Rubber Board. RSS 4 improved at the December series to Rs 176.83 (176.59), January to Rs 178.85 (178.78), February to Rs 181.60 (181.17), March to Rs 183.31 (183.70) and May to Rs 188 (185.03) a kg. RSS 3 (spot) weakened to Rs 166.31 (167.32) a kg at Bangkok.
Spot rates were (Rs/kg):Â RSS-4: 173 (173); RSS-5: 169 (169); ungraded: 165 (165); ISNR 20: 161 (161) and latex 60 per cent: 112 (113).
