Website points to Maag, Reduction Engineering deal

A portion of Reduction Engineering Scheer Inc. appears to announce a deal with Maag Pump Systems.

A deal could be brewing between Maag Pump Systems AG and Reduction Engineering Scheer Inc.

Reduction Engineering Scheer, the maker of pelletizers, rotors and pulverizers based in Kent, Ohio, posted on its website that it was “Now teamed up with a powerful source in the industry,” and the Maag logo.

Officials from Maag and Reduction Engineering Scheer were not immediately available for comment. Reduction is owned by Robert Sly.

Maag Pump recently bought underwater pelletizer maker Gala Industries Inc.

Maag Pump, based in Oberglatt, Switzerland, is owned by Dover Corp., a publicly traded company based in Downers Grove, Ill. The Dover website also did not have any news related to Reduction Engineering as of the mid-morning of Nov. 3.

Maag just closed on its purchase of Gala Industries in Eagle Rock, Va., on Oct. 30.
