KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian rubber market closed slightly lower today in tandem with the lower price of the commodity on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange, a dealer said.
The dealer said the downturn was also contributed by further decline in crude oil prices.
The noon benchmark Malaysian Rubber Board official physical price for tyre-grade SMR 20 was unchanged at 512.00 sen a kg, while latex-in-bulk decreased one sen to 407.50 sen a kg.
The unofficial closing price for tyre-grade SMR 20 declined 2.5 sen to 510.00 sen a kg, and latex-in-bulk fell 1.5 sen to 407.00 sen a kg.– Bernama
