Hainan producing area: The weather in Hainan producing area improved, and the feedstock production recovered to seasonal performance. After the National Day holiday, it was heard that the daily output of the feedstock had recovered to 4,000-5,000mt. At the same time, as the NR latex sales WERE unsmooth with the high price, the enthusiasm of processing plants to purchase the feedstock was lower than that before the holiday. Also, the low futures market price led to a decline in the NR latex price. The feedstock prices gradually went down this week but remained at a relatively high level. As of October 10, the purchase price of field latex used for concentrated latex production at state-owned plants was RMB 17,600/mt for reference, up RMB 1,700/mt from September 26, and the purchase price at private plants was RMB 19,900/mt for reference. The purchase price of field latex used for SCRWF production was RMB 16,500/mt for reference, up RMB 1,000/mt from September 26.
Yunnan producing area: The feedstock output increased in the Xishuangbanna producing area with the normal weather, and with the decline in the futures prices, the purchase price dropped. The weather in the Xishuangbanna producing area during the National Day holiday was normal, and rubber farmers had high enthusiasm for rubber tapping. Thus, the output of the feedstock grew, and the supply of field latex and cup lump was sufficient. However, after the holiday, the futures market prices decreased obviously, dragging down the mainstream purchase price of field latex. As of October 10, the purchase price of field latex was RMB 16,800-17,300/mt for reference, up RMB 750/mt from September 26; and cup lump purchase prices were RMB 15,000-15,500/mt for reference, up RMB 900/mt from September 26.
Thailand producing area: As of October 10, the weather in Thailand improved to some extent compared with the previous period, especially the relatively obvious decline of the rainfall in North Thailand and Northeast Thailand. It was understood that the feedstock production in Northeast Thailand had gradually entered a peak season, showing an increment. However, there was still rainfall weather in South Thailand. As of October 10, the average price of smoked rubber sheet was THB 84.78/kg, down 4.22% from September 26; that of field latex was THB 79.17/kg, up 2.48% from September 26; and that of cup lump was THB 59.65/kg, up 0.13% from September 26.
