TyreSafe has announced a new strategic partnership with the British Aggregates Association (BAA), a significant development aimed at improving tyre safety awareness across the UK’s aggregates industry. This collaboration brings together two organisations committed to promoting safety on the roads and within the workplace, particularly within sectors involving heavy vehicles and extensive fleet operations.
The British Aggregates Association, representing over 100 SMEs within the aggregates sector, has a strong focus on the safety and efficiency of its members, many of whom operate heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) as well as light and grey fleets. Through this partnership, TyreSafe and the BAA will work together to deliver crucial tyre safety messages to these businesses, ensuring that their fleets, as well as the personal vehicles of their employees, are maintained to the highest safety standards.
The partnership is timely, as TyreSafe continues to improve its suite of educational resources, expanding on their existing portfolio to better support HGV drivers and fleet operators.
Additionally, the BAA has generously offered TyreSafe access to their monthly newsletter and urgent news bulletins, providing a valuable platform to share tyre safety information with their members. This will allow TyreSafe to reach a broader audience within the aggregates industry, emphasising the importance of regular tyre checks, proper maintenance, and adherence to safety regulations.
Stuart Lovatt, TyreSafe Chair, said “We are thrilled to partner with the British Aggregates Association. This collaboration will enable us to extend our tyre safety messages to an industry that relies heavily on both heavy and light vehicle fleets. By working together, we can help ensure that vehicles in the aggregates sector are as safe and efficient as possible, ultimately saving lives and reducing costs for businesses.”
David Lukey, Director of Communications at the British Aggregates Association, added: “Joining forces with TyreSafe aligns perfectly with our commitment to safety within the aggregates industry. We are eager to share TyreSafe’s expertise with our members and help them implement best practices in tyre safety. This partnership is a natural fit, and we look forward to a productive collaboration.”
