Heuver Group has shared the sad news of Elmer Wiemer, Chief Financial Officer and intended Chief Executive Officer passing away on Sunday 4 May following a short period of illness.
Since taking office in 2020, Elmer has left an indelible impression on the Heuver Group. In his role as CFO, he made a crucial contribution to strengthening the course, further professionalising the organisation and achieving sustainable growth. His keen financial insight and strategic view were always supported by a great sense of responsibility and an approachable, human style of leadership.
Elmer was more than a Financial Director. He was a connector, someone with the rare ability to bring people and interests together. Like no other, he understood the dynamics of the family business and knew how to strengthen it with great care and dedication. With his energy, positivity and genuine attention to the people around him, he gave direction and confidence – to the company, to colleagues and to the future.
‘He was a true inspiration,’ said Heuver Group management. “Elmer’s legacy is tangible in the way we work together, in the culture he helped shape and in the ambitions he helped realise. We lose in him not only a leader, but also a warm personality, a dedicated colleague and a dear friend.”
His far too early passing touches the family business deeply. His vision, words and values will live on in the foundations of the company, in the people he touched and in the way Heuver Group continues to operate.
