New Uniroyal AllSeasonExpert 3

With the AllSeasonExpert 3, Uniroyal launches a new all-season tyre. As a specialist in rain tyres, the European brand has focused on strong performance in wet conditions as well as outstanding safety on snow and dry roads for its new flagship in the all-season tyre segment.

High performance in wet conditions thanks to “Shark Skin Technology”

The “Shark Skin Technology” is inspired by the structure of shark skin. This skin consists of a rough micro-surface made up of numerous small scales. This unique structure reduces water turbulence as the water flows over the shark’s skin. This reduces water resistance and energy consumption, allowing the shark to move faster with less effort.

Uniroyal has already successfully used this structure on other models in its portfolio and has developed it further for the new AllSeasonExpert 3. The tread pattern consists of a large number of tiny ridges in the outer grooves, which are modelled on the flow-optimised sharkskin and channel the water to the side quickly and without turbulence. Another advantage for water drainage is the V-shaped, directional tread pattern. The water can be quickly “collected” in its wide, circumferential grooves and then drained to the side via deep grooves. This reduces the risk of aquaplaning.

Stiff tread pattern for precise dry handling

For the AllSeasonExpert 3, Uniroyal has optimised the tread pattern and made it even stiffer in the shoulder area. This stiffness ensures that the tyre responds quickly and precisely to steering movements. The tyre also has a larger footprint for more direct contact with the road surface. A new tread design ensures even pressure distribution. This combination gives more grip, stability, control and shorter braking distances.

Special sipe design for greater safety in winter

When driving on wintry roads, the multiple gripping edges of the new AllSeasonExpert 3 interlock to increase the contact patch. This increases the tread’s stability on the road surface and improves grip. The sipe system of the new all-season tyre is designed to provide the best possible traction even on snow-covered roads. To achieve this, special sipes are arranged over the entire surface of the tyre blocks to create a large number of traction edges in the snow.

In addition to the M+S marking, the AllSeasonExpert 3 also bears the 3 Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol, which has been mandatory in several European countries since 2024 as proof of winter suitability. The new all-season tyre from Uniroyal is optimised for vehicles with all types of drive.  Consequently, it features the “EV-compatible logo” on the sidewall.

Initially, Uniroyal will offer 40 sizes for rims between 15 and 20 inches. The range of sizes will be further expanded next year. The vehicle selection ranges from small cars such as the Audi A1 or the Renault Zoe to mid-size cars such as the Mercedes C-Class and small and large SUVs such as the BMW X3 or the Mercedes GLE.

The AllSeasonExpert 3 is rated B for wet grip, B for noise and C for rolling resistance on the EU tyre label.
