Alliance, a leading global brand of agricultural and off-highway tyres, hosted an engaging and insightful Field Day on May 21, 2025, at HS Agri Direct B.V. in Zuidlaarderveen, Netherlands.
The event brought together farmers, tyre dealers, and industry experts from the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg to explore the latest advancements in farm tyre technology and their impact on soil health, farming efficiency, and sustainability.
The field day featured a series of hands-on demonstrations designed to highlight the critical role of tyre technology and tyre pressure in modern farming. Attendees had the opportunity to witness firsthand how Alliance’s innovative tyre solutions, including the Alliance Agriflex+ 363 for Row Crop, Alliance Agriflex+ 372, and Agri Star ll, can improve soil preservation, reduce fuel consumption, and enhance overall farm productivity.
How Tyre Technology Saves Soil
Visitors experienced the impact of tyre technology and tyre pressure on soil firsthand through a series of field demonstrations. Key highlights included:
Soil Compaction and Footprint Demo: demonstrations showcased the difference in soil compaction between high-pressure and low-pressure tyres. Attendees observed how Alliance VF (Very High Flexion) tyres, with their larger footprints, minimise soil compaction, improve water permeability, and ultimately contribute to higher yields.
Slippage and Traction Demo: This demo illustrated how proper tyre pressure and VF technology reduce slippage, optimise traction, and save energy, resulting in more efficient fieldwork.
Tyre Pressure Demo: Participants learned the importance of correct tyre pressure settings and how they impact tyre longevity, fuel efficiency, and work speed. Attendees even had the chance to measure and adjust tyre pressures themselves, gaining practical insights into tyre management.
Showcasing Alliance’s Cutting-Edge Tyre Solutions
The field day also featured a range of cutting-edge agricultural machinery equipped with Alliance tyres, including the 363+ Row Crop Dual, Agriflex 372+, and Agri Star ll. These tyres demonstrated their real-world benefits, from reduced soil impact to improved traction in challenging conditions. Additionally, other tyres from the Alliance brand were put on display by partners Heuver Tyres and Zuid West Banden, who also showcased a flotation system.
As part of the festivities, Alliance commemorated the remarkable achievement of selling 1 million Agri Star II tyres worldwide. To celebrate this milestone, a special Agri Star II tyre was painted in gold and suspended from a crane, serving as a striking centrepiece during the event. This eye-catching display not only highlights the tyre’s success but also symbolises Alliance’s commitment to innovation and excellence in agricultural solutions.
A Commitment to Sustainable Farming
Alliance’s field day in the Netherlands emphasised the company’s dedication to sustainable farming practices. By reducing soil compaction and improving fuel efficiency, Alliance’s tyre solutions help farmers achieve better yields while preserving the health of their land for future generations.
