HAMBURG: The Taiwan Sugar Corp. has issued an international tender to buy 20,000 tonnes of US-origin yellow corn and 15,000 tonnes of US-origin yellow soybeans, European traders said on Tuesday.
The tender also closes on Tuesday, March 17, they said.
Shipment was sought from the US Gulf between May 2-16 or from the US Pacific North West coast between May 17-31, traders said.
US corn futures have fallen this week due to pressure from lower-than-expected US export inspections data. Soybeans also dropped as traders anticipated huge US plantings of the oilseed in the coming months.
