Japan’s styrene monomer production fell 7% from January to 200,797 mt in February, Japan’s Styrene Industry Association said late Wednesday.
Output fell 4% from February 2014.
Japan’s SM exports jumped 16% from January to 97,844 mt in February, the association said.
The exports increased 28% year on year.
The country’s SM stocks rose 10% month on month to 78,473 mt as of end-February, it said.
But the inventory level was down 5% from a year earlier.
