FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures declined for a fourth straight session on Monday to their lowest in
nearly three weeks as traders sold positions after data showed exports fell this month, and as
competing oil markets weighed on prices.
* Chicago Board of Trade corn and soybean futures plunged to their lowest in more than a month
on Monday as improving weather for crop development across the U.S. Midwest sparked a round of
long liquidation by speculators, traders said.
* Crude oil futures hit four-month lows on Monday after a steep drop in China’s stock markets
sparked concern about the economic health of the world’s biggest energy consumer, while evidence
of a growing crude glut mounted.

* The biggest rout in Chinese shares in eight years stoked concerns over slowing growth in the
world’s No. 2 economy on Monday, knocking down global equities and the prices of key
commodities.
