MIDLAND, Texas (AP) _ Natural Gas Services Group Inc. (NGS) on Thursday reported second-quarter profit of $ 614,000.
On a per-share basis, the Midland, Texas-based company said it had profit of 5 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 28 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 22 cents per share.
The maker of natural gas compression equipment and industrial flare systems posted revenue of $ 24.2 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $ 22.6 million.
Natural Gas Services shares have decreased 16 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased 37 percent in the last 12 months.
