KOTTAYAM, AUGUST 18:
Spot rubber declined further as there were no genuine buyers in the local trading houses even at lower levels. RSS 4 weakened to Rs 116 (Rs 117) a kg as quoted by the traders. The grade dropped to Rs 116.50 (Rs 117) and Rs 113.50 (Rs 114) respectively, according to the Rubber Board and the dealers. September futures weakened to Rs 114.41 (Rs 115.38) and October futures to Rs 114.25 (Rs 115.51) on the National Multi Commodity Exchange. RSS 3 (spot) slipped to Rs 97.14 (Rs 97.25) at Bangkok. August futures closed at ¥175.1 (Rs 92.14) on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange. Spot rubber rates (Rs /kg): RSS-4: 116 (117); RSS-5: 111 (111); Ungraded: 101 (102); ISNR 20: 102 (103) and Latex 60%: 80(81).
