(Reuters) – The Federal Reserve will release the minutes of its upcoming Oct. 31-Nov. 1 meeting on Tuesday Nov. 21, instead of the Wednesday of that week as would be its usual cadence, “in light of the Thanksgiving holiday,” the U.S. central bank said on Friday.
The minutes of the Federal Open Market Committee will be released at 2:00 p.m. EST two days before the Thanksgiving holiday, which is always on the fourth Thursday of November. The minutes of each regularly scheduled meeting, which investors typically comb through for clues on where policymakers are leaning, are usually published exactly three weeks after the day of the policy decision, which falls on a Wednesday.
