TOKYO: Tokyo shares soared more than 3.0 percent Wednesday, rebounding from six days of losses after China cut interest rates in a bid to shore up confidence in the world’s number two economy.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange jumped 3.20 percent, or 569.77 points, to 18,376.47 with less than an hour to go before the close.
