HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks reversed early losses to end Wednesday’s volatile morning session slightly higher as Shanghai also rebounded from an initial sell-off.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index edged up 0.03 percent, or 5.67 points, to 21,191.10 on turnover of HK$ 51.36 billion ($ 6.63 billion). It had lost more than one percent mid-morning.
Shanghai’s composite index was up 0.31 percent by lunch after diving more than four percent soon after the open.
