TOKYO: Tokyo shares lost 1.13 percent on Friday morning as a stronger yen hit exporters and after a lacklustre finish on Wall Street, with investors cautious ahead of a US jobs report later in the day.
The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange fell 205.63 points to 17,976,77 by the break, while the Topix index of all first section shares was down 1.22 percent, or 17.97 points, at 1,457.01.
