Recently, the Malaysian Rubber Export Promotion Council (MREPC) data show that in 2015, the Malaysian rubber product exports are expected to grow 10.7 percent year on year to reach 16.8 billion ringgit (about 4 billion US dollars), including rubber gloves will reach 12.5 billion ringgit (about 30 billion).
Data show that Malaysian rubber product exports in 2000 to 5.4 billion ringgit, up to 15.17 billion ringgit in 2014. In the first half of 2015, its rubber product exports totaled 8.47 billion ringgit (about 2.01 billion US dollars), which accounted for 6.1 billion rubber gloves ringgit ($ 1.45 billion); dry rubber product exports (including ordinary rubber products and industrial Rubber Products) this year is expected to reach 1.75 billion ringgit ($ 416 million); other latex products such as condoms, catheters, footwear, tires and tubes, etc., exports are expected to reach 2.5 billion ringgit ($ 600 million).
MREPC said Malaysian rubber products are currently exported to more than 190 countries and regions, it is the world’s leading examination and surgical gloves, catheters and condoms supplier.
