OSLO, Norway–(BUSINESS WIRE)–
These girls have experienced hateful and horrible comments online. Racism, ignorance, harassment and body shaming are just a few. But despite the bullying, they refuse to regard themselves as victims. They are fighting back their trolls with real girl power – exposing the trolls’ identity and fearlessly wearing their faces on their t-shirts, says Kari Traa.
The woman behind the project, Kari Traa, is a Gold medalist from Salt Lake City Olympic Games. She wants to use her position to put a global focus on cyber bullying of women. The main objective is to create a movement of Troll-fighting girls who join forces and show to the world that no troll can break them.
– I started the clothing brand Kari Traa in 2002 as a brand for girls, by girls. We have a large audience of girls and women who have followed and supported us for many years. Now we want to give something back and show that we support anyone being bullied or harassed. We need a movement, and people who tell all these great girls that they should be proud of themselves and not listen to the online trolls, says Kari Traa.
The project has achieved a lot of attention in Norwegian media and has been featured on all major TV channels and in the biggest newspapers. In just a few days, it has also become a trending topic on Norwegian social media with engagement from girls all over the country.
