ITANAGAR: Twelve rubber growers from Arunachal Pradesh, who will be visiting Kerala on an exposure tour under the ‘Shastradarshan’ scheme of the Rubber Board of India, supported by the department of trade and commerce, were seen off at a function at the regional office of the rubber board here on Friday.
During the tour, the team will visit rubber plantations raised by various self-help groups and processing units in Kerala, a press release said.
Addressing the event here, trade and commerce director Tokong Pertin advised the rubber growers to observe and learn the techniques being followed in Kerala and adopt the practices in Arunachal. He urged them to begin plantations on a small-scale and initially.
