For this year’s summer tyre test, the German automobile club ADAC took a close look at 16 current 215/55 R17 models – including the Goodride Solmax 1 for the first time. The summer tyre from Chinese manufacturer ZC Rubber scored well in several criteria. The Goodride Solmax 1 also outperformed some much more expensive products from established European brands in the overall ranking.
The ADAC testers also gave positive feedback on the environmental impact: thanks to its low rolling resistance, the Goodride Solmax 1 received an excellent mark of 2.2 for fuel consumption. Total efficiency was rated at 2.4, putting the tyre in this category well ahead of the overall test winner. In terms of driving safety, the Solmax 1 tyre convinced with its short braking distance on dry roads. The testers gave the tyre a similarly good rating for aquaplaning behaviour with a mark of 2.4 for lateral dynamics and 2.5 for longitudinal dynamics. With an average price of 120 Euros, the Goodride Solmax 1 is one of the most affordable models in the ADAC 2024 summer tyre test.
The performance of the Goodride Solmax 1 has already been confirmed by the internationally renowned testing organisation TÜV SÜD. The new flagship tyre of the Goodride brand was developed by ZC Rubber specifically for the European market. ZC Rubber is one of the top ten tyre manufacturers in the world and the market leader in China.
Mr. Wang Jianbo, Chief Engineer of PLT Product Development: “The Goodride Solmax 1 is one of the premium products in our portfolio. It meets the high requirements of well-known vehicle manufacturers in the OEM business and, with its good price-performance ratio, is also becoming increasingly popular on the European replacement market. The ADAC test, with some very pleasing individual ratings, reflects the great expertise and commitment of our research and development work.”
