The Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 might not have the impressive spec sheet the Giulia boasts, but it had something ostensibly more important: a release date. Recently, we learned that the heavily anticipated Alfa Romeo Giulia would be set back six months.
Though the mid-’70s went down in history as one of the biggest droughts of exciting cars ever, this Alfa served as an oasis of sporty fun in a desert of freshly minted econo-boxes — as the author calls them, test-tube cars. Boxes and wedges were in, pretty Italian curves — out.
