Crain’s Cleveland Business
Lifting and rigging company Mazzella Co. of Cleveland has acquired Rouster Wire Rope & Rigging of Mabscott, W.Va.
Rouster supplies products like chain slings, synthetic and wire rope and nylon and polyester web slings, the company said in a news release. The acquisition will add to Mazzella’s “expertise in high-performance synthetics,” as well as expand its footprint, according to the release.
The price of the acquisition was not included in the release, and a message left for the company on Nov. 11 was not immediately returned.
“Chuck Farmer and Rouster Wire Rope & Rigging are well known as experts in the lifting business,” CEO Tony Mazzella said in the release. “Chuck’s vision and knowledge in the application of high strength synthetic ropes will be invaluable to Mazzella. Their focus on safety has been the foundation of their outstanding reputation and fits right in with our culture.”
The release said Farmer, who was listed as owner and president on Rouster’s website, will continue to oversee growth at the company.
