Rubber prices across Asia remained mixed Friday as prices in China remained under pressure, while the Tocom notched a move to the topside.
Concerns remained about rubber fundamentals in the market including the level of stocks, but a lack of fresh news left prices in their recent range.
The Tocom rubber contract for April delivery finished 2.1 yen higher at Y158.2($1.29) a kilogram Friday. The Tokyo Commodity Markets will be closed Monday due to a national holiday in Japan.
However, the Tocom rubber futures contract ended down Y1.9 a kilogram to Y157.8 in the night session, which is considered part of the next trading day.
