Plastics News Report
Hartsville, S.C. — Sonoco Products Co. is making a series of management changes due to a “health issue” for a senior official at the company.
John Colyer, senior vice president of global industrial products and protective solutions, “is relinquishing his operations leadership to focus on treating a health issue,” the company said Dec. 1.
He will stay with Sonoco and work on special projects, the Hartsville, S.C.-based company said.
Group Vice President Rodger Fuller is assuming responsibilities for the industrial business in the Americas. That segment includes tubes and cores, paper, adhesives and recycling, which includes plastics recycling, in North America and South America.
The moves also include Howard Coker, a group vice president, assuming responsibility for company’s industrial business for the rest of the world, Sonoco said.
Sonoco, while known by many for its paper-based businesses, makes a wide variety of plastic products, including jars, bottles, tubes, cores, trays, bowls, pallets, and flexible and protective packaging.
