The North American subsidiary of German automotive supplier Röchling Automotive Group will invest $ 5.8 million to expand its operations in Duncan, S.C.
Röchling Automotive USA LLP will add new machinery to accommodate higher production volumes, according to a release from the South Carolina Department of Commerce. The equipment is expected to be operational in early 2016, and hiring is currently underway to fill 25 new positions.
“Spartanburg County has been home to our North American headquarters for nearly 15 years, and we are glad to continue our growth here,” Rӧchling Automotive USA Vice President Justin White said in a statement. “We believe that continuing to invest in our existing facilities will keep our company on the leading edge of automotive thermoplastic process technologies and position us well for sustained growth.”
Röchling manufactures a variety of plastic components and systems including thermal management, aerodynamics and acoustic products. The Duncan facility also serves as the company’s North American headquarters.
