Ravago Americas LLC has expanded its engineering resins business by acquiring Bay State Polymer Distribution Inc. of Westlake, Ohio.
Orlando, Fla.-based Ravago will make Bay State part of its Amco Polymers unit, officials said in a Dec. 11 news release. “We continue to search for high-quality companies that have a strategic fit for our company,” Ravago Americas President Jim Duffy said in the release.
Kevin Wettstein, Amco vice president and general manager, added that Bay State “brings us a very talented and technical team, a unique product focus and the same passion for delivering solutions necessary for their customers’ growth.”
Bay State was founded in 1983. The firm distributes nylon, thermoplastic polyurethane and other engineering resins for Covestro, Lanxess, Custom Resins and other suppliers.
“The culture and strategy of Amco made this transaction a natural fit,” Bay State President Mike Walter said in the release.
