Spot rubber improved on Tuesday mainly on short covering, analysts said. RSS 4 improved to ₹103 (102), according to traders. The grade firmed up to ₹102.50 (102) and ₹99.50 (99) respectively, according to the Rubber Board and the dealers.
January futures increased to ₹ 104.20 (103.63), February to ₹106.35 (105.71) on the National Multi Commodity Exchange. RSS 3 (spot) weakened to ₹80.35 (81.86) at Bangkok. January futures closed at ¥146.7 (₹80.90) on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange. Spot rubber rates (₹/kg): RSS-4: 103(102); RSS-5: 100.50 (100); Ungraded: 93 (92); ISNR 20: 86 (85.50) and Latex (60% drc): 73.50 (73.50).
