BANGKOK, Jan 11 (Bernama) — Thai Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha will submit solutions on the falling rubber prices to the Cabinet at its weekly meeting on Tuesday, Thailand News Agency (TNA) reported.
The prime minister told journalists on Monday that the solutions needed to be presented because it involved the government’s spending of a huge budget.
He stressed that the solutions to the low rubber prices are aimed at tackling the relevant issues, including the purchase of rubber to feed production, rubber processing and the purchase of processed products.
The prime minister said that he has ordered the relevant ministries to buy processed rubber products to maximise the domestic consumption of natural rubber.
