Dow Chemical Canada is carrying out 24 hours of planned maintenance on its polyethylene plant in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, the company said Thursday.
There will be intermittent, low-level flaring during the period, Dow said in messages posted on an Edmonton community update line, without giving further details.
It also did not give a timeline for when the work is being carried out, but said the maintenance will not impact production levels.
Dow was not available for further comment Thursday.
Dow’s Fort Saskatchewan plant has a nameplate production capacity of 650,000 mt/year of polyethylene.
