A revitalization attempt has failed for rotational molder and thermoformer Rotovac (Plastics) Group Inc. of Milton, Ontario.
The firm was formed in 2013 to buy and activate rotomolding and thermoforming operations that were sold out of bankruptcy when NS Technologies Group Inc. in Milton went out of business. Alan Crossley and two investors formed Rotovac and bought the operations — but not injection molding and extrusion assets — formerly held by NS. Crossley could not be reached for comment.
Rotovac filed for bankruptcy Nov. 13 and Schwartz, Levinsky and Feldman Inc. of Toronto was appointed receiver and trustee. Rotovac had about 35 employees in 2014.
Equipment was scheduled to be auctioned off Jan. 28 at Rotovac’s Milton plant by Danbury Global Ltd. Major pieces include a five-axis gantry-type router, four Ferry and McNeil Akron rotomolding lines and five thermoforming machines.
