Erie, Pa. — Injection mold technical and sales expert Patrick Bailly-Maitre, 57, died while working on a project on Nov. 13 in Erie.
Bailly-Maitre, the global partnership manager for JP Grosfilley SA, was in the process of building a working partnership between JP Grosfilley, a mold builder in Martignat, France, and X-Cell Tool & Mold Inc. of Fairview, Pa.
“He was great guy. Everybody who knew him, liked him. He was always full of enthusiasm. He is really going to be missed,” said Bill DiMieri, new business development representative at X-Cell.
DiMieri said Bailly-Maitre was the process of moving into a new townhouse near the Erie plant when he suffered a heart attack while driving. He was in the final stages of setting up the X-Cell partnership.
Bailly-Matrie was known for putting together many projects internationally, He had a career of over 30 years with companies such as Curtil SA, Plastisud SAS and Schottli AG.
He is survived by wife Michelle, daughter Jessica and son Steven in Saint Claude, France.
