Lebanon, Ore. — John Effmann, a longtime plastics machinery veteran and activist at the Society of the Plastics Industry Inc., is retiring from Entek Manufacturing Inc., effective March 31.
Effmann has worked in the plastics industry for more than 40 years. He joined Entek in 2005, helping that maker of twin-screw co-rotating extruders and separators for batteries in marketing positions. He currently is director of sales and marketing for the Lebanon-based company.
Effmann was chairman of NPE 2012, helping lead the landmark move of NPE to Orlando,
Fla., from Chicago.
Effmann worked at Milacron LLC for 26 years, ending as vice president of marketing for the global plastics machinery manufacturer.
Entek also announced two promotions.
Linda Campbell, a 28-year Entek employee, was promoted from regional sales manager to director of sales. She will report to Entek President Kirk Hanawalt. Campbell will be responsible for global sales of extruders and wear parts, and will manage Entek’s team of direct sales people and manufacturers’ representatives.
Tammy Straw was promoted to marketing and development manager. Straw has worked at Entek since 1999, most recently as business development manager.
“We congratulate John on his upcoming retirement. He has had a great career in the plastics industry and has been an important part of Enek’s growth for the past 11 years, Hanawalt said in the Feb. 8 announcement. “At the same time we congratulate Linda and Tammy on their new positions. They are all well-deserved promotions and we are confident that we have a great team to lead Entek’s sales and marketing efforts going forward.”
