Akron, Ohio — Education issues will get an airing at the Akron Section of the Society of Plastics Engineers meeting on April 11.
Speakers will talk about current efforts to teach about polymers, give their perspective on how polymers can be used to advance STEM education (science, technology, engineering and math), and how industry can engage with academia.
The speakers are: John Fellenstein, content specialist for the Akron Global Polymer Academy; Dori Hess, science instructor at GlenOak High School and Stark State College; and Missi Zender-Sakach, a science content consultant with the Summit County Educational Service Center.
The meeting starts with social networking at 5:30 p.m. at the Hilton Inn in Fairlawn, Ohio. Dinner follows at 6 p.m.
