Materials supplier Americhem Inc. has launched a customer concept center and renovated laboratory in Suzhou, China.
The Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio-based company describes the facility as “a practical and innovative space to develop products and collaborate with Americhem technical experts.”
The concept center houses a wide selection of end product samples and technical solutions for synthetic fibers, nonwovens, building products, medical, and other specialty engineered compounds. It also includes a training center with educational resources on color theory, product development, and color control. Polymers represented include nylon, PET, polypropylene, polyethylene and polylactic acid.
The laboratory renovations will expand the company’s product development capacity with increased speed to market. Pilot equipment allows customers to test new color and additive products in real time.
“The new concept center is an exceptional place to showcase our core products and technologies,” said Stanley Teoh, Americhem’s vice president and managing director for the Asia Pacific region.
This year Americhem is celebrating the 10th anniversary for its Suzhou facility and presence in the Asia Pacific region.
