KOTTAYAM, JUNE 2:
Spot rubber made marginal gains as the market ruled firm on supply concerns following widespread rains all over the plantation areas. RSS 4 improved to ₹129 (₹128.50) a kg, according to traders and Rubber Board.
The grade finished slightly higher at ₹126 (₹125.50) as quoted by the dealers. June futures firmed up to ₹128.10 (₹127.69), July to ₹128.48 (₹128.24) and August to ₹128 (₹127.99) while the September futures weakened to ₹127 (₹127.50) on the National Multi Commodity Exchange. RSS 3 (spot) slid to ₹102.46 (₹102.61) at Bangkok. June futures closed at ¥156.7 (₹96.78) on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange. Spot rubber rates (₹/kg): RSS-4: 129 (128.50); RSS-5: 125.50 (125); Ungraded: 107 (106); ISNR 20: 110(110) and Latex (60% drc): 94 (95).
