Advance Tooling Concepts, part of ARC Plastics group, is boosting its capacity with the addition of two new 309 ton Nissei injection molding machines.
The machines, according to Reed Bartlett, business development manager at Longmont, Colo.-based Advance Plastics, will boost the company’s capacity by 10 percent. They are both fitted with Sailor automation equipment.
Bartlett said that the expansion is due to a desire for customers’ “complete fulfillment.” ATC is able to do metal injection molding, plastic part overmolding and assembly.
He said the company also has a full tool room and a clean room with six molding machines.
The company operates in a 30,000-square-foot facility with 22 injection molding machines ranging to 360 tons of compression force.
ATC is part of ARC Group Worldwide Inc., which is based in Deland, Fla. It is a global advanced manufacturing and 3-D printing service provider.
ARC Group handles all aspects of a project, from design to prototyping to full production. It does metal injection molding, plastic and metal 3-D printing, metal stamping, plastic injection molding, rapid tooling, and thixomolding. ARC is a maker of antennas, hermetic seals, flanges and forges.
