Toronto — Husky Injection Molding Systems Ltd. has decided not to appeal the April dismissal of its lawsuit against Athena Automation Ltd., according to a July 7 news release from Athena.
Athena said this ends the legal battle over injection molding technology for PET performs.
Justice Frank Newbould of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Toronto dismissed Husky’s claim, and Athena’s countersuit, on April 22. Husky is based in Bolton, Ontario, and Athena in nearby Vaughan, Ontario.
Husky officials could not be reached for this story.
Athena was founded by former Husky owner Robert Schad.
“I am glad that this stressful period is behind us, and we look forward to competing on a level playing field,” Schad said in the news release.
