The Science Campus at the K 2016 trade fair will feature more space and a growing number of presentations.
The Science Campus debuted at the 2013 show, giving visitors a place learn about scientific activities and findings in the plastics sector, and promoting a knowledge exchange between companies and universities.
K 2016, the world’s largest plastics trade show, will take place Oct. 19-26 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
According to show organizer Messe Düsseldorf, the Science Campus will highlight topics that will have a lasting impact on market development of the sector in the coming years. They include:
• Innovation drivers of global change focusing on resource efficiency.
• Plastics Industry 4.0.
• New materials and lightweight engineering.
• Scientific training in macromolecular chemistry and plastics technology.
“These themes will not only be the focus of the Science Campus at K 2016 but will also be reflected in the presentations of the exhibitors, the special show ‘Plastics Shape the Future’ and the Innovation Compass,” the show organizer said in an Aug. 1 news release.
The following participants will be represented at the Science Campus in Hall 7:
