Spot rubber prices were weak with RSS 4 declining to ₹143.50 (₹144) a kg, according to traders and the Rubber Board. The grade weakened to ₹140.50 (₹141) as reported by the dealers. The market opened almost steady but lost the initial strength on buyer resistance probably following the sustained weakness in global trendsetters. August futures closed at ₹146.47 (₹145), September at ₹136.50 (₹136.31), October at ₹130.50 (₹130.50) on the National Multi Commodity Exchange. RSS 3 (spot) dropped to ₹112.72 (₹112.84) at Bangkok. August futures slid to ¥180.9 (₹119.19) on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange.
