NuTec Tooling Systems Inc., a custom automation company in Meadville, Pa., has completed a $ 2.5 million automated assembly project for a medical device supplier.
NuTec did not identify the customer.
The project includes six separate automation stations, including two of NuTec’s proprietary TrayTender products. The system produces a medical device every nine seconds, and the line can run many variations of the product.
The project took just under a year to complete.
NuTec specializes in factory automation for a range of industries, including medical, small electronics/devices, electro-mechanical automation, energy storage and consumer products.
