A Tennessee-based film maker is tripling the size of its office space through an expansion.
Filmtech Inc. recently completed work on a 3,600-square-foot, two-story expansion to complement 1,800 square feet of existing office space, the company said.
Filmtech, of Bean Station, makes metalized and clear barrier films.
“The new space will assist in our associate training programs and maximize face-to-face interactions with each other,” said President Mark McGarel in a statement. “This new space will improve communication between departments and result in more efficient responses to our customers.”
Filmtech declined to reveal a cost for the expansion or indicate annual sales figures.
The firm, which dates back to 2002, did report that it has more than 60 employees.
Work on the office expansion began in June and was finished in early August, the company said.
Filmtech has more than 100,000 square feet of production, shipping and warehouse space at its Bean Station location on 18 acres near Knoxville.
