The Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC) is happy to release Natural Rubber Trends & Statistics, September 2016.
Total production of natural rubber (NR) in ANRPC member countries remained stagnant during the first nine months of 2016 compared to the same period a year ago. 11 countries in the ANRPC account for 90% of the global output of NR. Total consumption of NR in ANRPC members, amounting to 65% of global consumption, increased by 3.5%, year-on-year, during the same period. The favourable supply-demand fundamentals and a considerable recovery in crude oil price has helped improvement in price of block rubber and latex.
This issue of Natural Rubber Trends and Statistics provide trends in demand and supply of NR covering the period up to September 2016, anticipated scenario for the period up to December 2016 and for the year 2016.
In terms of number of registrations received, the response to the 9th ANRPC Annual Rubber Conference and 2nd ANRPC Public-Private Meet to be held on 17th and 18th October 2016 in Guwahati, Assam, India, is overwhelming. In the context of continuing ebb in NR market, the theme and the content of the Annual Rubber Conference assume significance. I believe, this conference is an opportunity for global rubber fraternity to deliberate on issues confronting the sector and seek strategies to sustain in a fast-changing global order.
ANRPC looks forward to continued support and cooperation from statistical correspondents in all member governments. We are grateful to esteemed users for their feedback.
