Asian rubber prices ended mixed Wednesday as the Tocom rubber futures contract gave up some of the gains made Tuesday, while the Shanghai Rubber Futures exchange faired better.
The mostly widely traded contract on the Shanghai Rubber Futures exchange ended the session higher following moves in crude-oil prices during the Asian session.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, light, sweet crude futures for delivery in November traded at $51.03 a barrel, up $0.24, or 0.5% in the Globex electronic session. December Brent crude on London’s ICE Futures exchange rose $0.41, or 0.8%, to $52.83 a barrel.
