Spot rubber made all round gains catalysed by the spurt in global markets on Wednesday . RSS 4 firmed up to ₹144 (₹142) a kg, according to traders.
The grade improved to ₹143 (₹141) and ₹140 (₹138) respectively according to the Rubber Board and dealers. In futures, the January contracts closed at ₹140.95 (₹140.78), February at ₹147.51 (₹147.87), March at ₹152.57 (₹151.88), April at ₹159.65 (₹159.16) and May at ₹164.02 (₹164.33) per kg on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
RSS 3 (spot) improved to ₹170.13 (₹164.50)at Bangkok. January futures flared up to ¥ 288.6 (₹169.49) on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange. Spot rubber rates (₹/kg) were: RSS-4: 144 (142); RSS-5: 137 (134); Ungraded: 121 (121); ISNR 20: 133.50 (130) and Latex (60% drc): 86 (85).
