Spot rubber finished weak as the market failed to regain strength in the absence of genuine buyers on Wednesday. RSS 4 declined to ₹154 (₹155) a kg according to traders and the Rubber Board. The grade dropped to ₹151 (152) a kg as quoted by the dealers. March futures recovered to ₹148.17 (₹143.85), April to ₹154.75 (₹149.65), May to ₹160.30 (₹155.63) and June to ₹162.75 (₹160.37) on the National Multi Commodity Exchange. RSS 3 (spot) firmed up to ₹167.34 (₹164.60) a kg at Bangkok. March futures improved to ¥304.7 (₹179.19) on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange. Spot rubber rates (₹/kg) were: RSS-4: 154 (155); RSS-5: 142 (143); Ungraded: 128 (130); ISNR 20: 137 (139) and Latex (60% drc): 99 (99).
