KUALA LUMPUR, April 19 (Reuters) – Malaysia’s consumer price inflation hit an eight-year high in March, but is not seen as changing the central bank’s position on monetary policy.
Annual inflation was 5.1 percent in March, the highest since it touched 5.7 percent in November 2008.
Annual inflation was 4.5 percent in February. A Reuters poll forecast March inflation at 5.3 percent. (Reporting by Joseph Sipalan; Editing by Sunil Nair)
