US polypropylene exports in April totaled 83,017 mt, down 28% from 115,462 mt in March, data from the American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers showed Tuesday.
The total also was 13% higher than April 2016’s 73,234 mt, the AFPM data showed.
The top three destinations were Mexico, Canada and China, which took 42,802 mt, 22,936 mt and 4,062 mt, respectively, the data showed.
Polypropylene imports into the US in April totaled 18,353 mt, 22.4% more than March’s 14,991 mt but 52% below April 2016 imports of 37,869 mt, AFPM data showed.
Brazil, Republic of Korea and Canada provided the largest volumes in April, shipping 4,418 mt, 2,883 mt and 1,997 mt, respectively, the data showed.
