TOKYO (Aug 4): Benchmark Tokyo rubber futures hit a one-week high on Friday in line with a jump in Shanghai futures, brokers said.
The Tokyo Commodity Exchange rubber contract for January delivery finished 4.9 yen higher at 206.8 yen (US$1.88) per kg, ending the week with a 1.1% gain.
The most-active rubber contract on the Shanghai futures exchange for January delivery was last up 260 yuan at 15,550 yuan (US$2,314) per tonne.
The front-month rubber contract on Singapore’s SICOM exchange for September delivery last traded at 149 US cents per kg, up 2 cents.
